Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

According to the American Chiropractic Association, carpal tunnel syndrome is the most expensive of all work-related injuries. Over his or her lifetime, a carpal tunnel patient loses about $30,000 in medical bills and time absent from work.

What Is Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?

True Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is a lesion of the median nerve within the wrist causing pain or and numbness within the thumb, index, and middle finger. Sometimes weakness within the grip of the involved hand is also noted.

How does Chiropractic help reduce the symptoms from Carpal Tunnel Syndrome ?

Chiropractic joint manipulation and mobilization of the wrist and hand, stretching and strengthening exercises, soft-tissue mobilization techniques are often used to help reduce the symptoms from carpal tunnel syndrome.

Sometimes patients whose symptoms fail to respond to conservative care may require surgery. Surgery can release the ligament covering the carpal tunnel.

If a patient waits too long to begin treatment more damage can occur to the median nerve and can necessitate surgical intervention.

I believe a patient should not have to pay me to find out if I can help them. Call Hall today for a free exam to determine if Chiropractic Care can help you.
