Intersegmental traction therapy

Intersegmental traction therapy is a procedure to treat back pain, disc problems, and reduce muscle spasms without the involvement of drugs or surgery.

Intersegmental traction therapy uses a table the patient lies on where rollers rise gently, lifting the body. The rollers move up and down the patient’s spine opening up facet joints. This can be used to increase the patient’s blood flow throughout the spinal column. The amount of pressure that is applied to the patient can be adjusted as needed.

Intersegmental traction therapy helps the spine return to its proper range of motion by gently manipulating the spine, mobilizing it while stretching all the muscles and ligaments.
